Brett McKeithan (aka BMac) brings a genuine passion for music to the airwaves. As the former host of the World Music Show at East Carolina University and an avid listener to all types of music, he has a deep understanding of global sounds and a knack for creating dynamic and entertaining playlists. His show, "BMac's Shuffle," embraces variety, spinning an assortment of upbeat tracks across multiple genres. The show's distinctive format ensures you'll never know what's coming next, but you can always count on music that lifts your spirit and makes you want to dance. Whether you're a lifelong music lover or just looking for something new and exciting to brighten your day, this show's for you.

Jim Board (aka JB Sterling) has lived all over the U.S. but has settled, in retirement, for the past seven years in the Southport area. He enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, spending time with friends and listening to music. Growing up playing and listening to many different types of music gave him a broad exposure to a variety of genres. He is looking forward to sharing his musical knowledge and experiences with his audience.

Bonnie Bray grew up near Washington, D.C. and spent years in Baltimore and Southern Maryland before moving to Southport in 2009. After retiring from a career in municipal finance, she currently consults with local governments throughout North Carolina. She and her husband are among the founding board members of Up Your Arts, a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to promote and enhance creative and performing arts in the greater Southport area. Bonnie brings an abiding appreciation for the arts to Cape Fear Radio, as well as strong ties to the community of musicians and artists who have made this region a mecca for creativity.

Ami Brown brings her behind-the-scenes creative flair to Cape Fear Radio's commercials and features. Born and raised in the Carolinas, Ami has called the charming town of Southport home for the past nine years. As a freelance screenwriter and artist, she infuses her vibrant personality into every project. When she's not crafting catchy ads, Ami loves RVing, painting, and exploring new places. Her heart for the community shows through her volunteer work and her role as Managing Editor of St. James Cat-Tales magazine.

Higgs has loved and appreciated music for as long as he can remember. This love has served as a catalyst, enriching and expanding his life in countless ways. He volunteered as a community DJ at WQFS in Greensboro for close to 20 years. His program, “Hanging With Higgs,” showcased local music events, regional musicians, bands and festivals, along with promoting nationally known musicians. Higgs resides in the Southport area and is delighted to be back on the air again. Besides radio, he also plays the mandolin, guitar and harmonica and enjoys performing at local venues.

Alan Nelson (aka Big Al) grew up in Michigan, lived in Northern California and now resides in North Carolina. He spent over 20 years in each of those states. He is in a local band and is a craft beer connoisseur as well. As a presenter for Cape Fear Radio, he looks forward to sharing music with you.

Lindsay Gebel (aka Lois Lane) is a presenter and feature producer. Raised in small-town Western New York, she grew up driving tractors and learned early on that it was normal to talk to every stranger. Having her formative years influenced by eccentric 90s artists such as Weezer and Green Day, she moved to Charlotte for college due to her lifelong love of the Charlotte Hornets jersey colors. Lindsay’s outgoing nature has landed her gigs in leadership and community service, and she appreciates her current work-from-beach job. She enjoys socializing, yard sales, travel, pickleball and alliterations. You may see her out rollerblading in Southport or with friends at local establishments. If she says “Go Bills,” don’t be alarmed — she just means “hello.”

Mike Knapp (aka Mike Kay) lives in Southport and grew up listening to WABC and WNEW in New York City. He's a retired HR person and a frustrated golfer.

David Pope has been hammering on some form of keyboards since he was about seven years old. His love of music stretches across many genres, from classical to modern rock, but jazz has always been one of his favorites. He looks forward to sharing his journey, as well as highlighting the area’s local talent and listening opportunities.

Paul Michael Owens, born in London, moved to the US when he was 5 years old. He grew up in the small town of Roxboro, NC and has been in Southport since April 2020, enabled by his IT career to work from anywhere. He has a passion for music and theater, as well as Chelsea Football Club. He enjoys beaching, boating, kayaking, and entertaining folks with his karaoke prowess at the Tiki Tavern. He’s excited to contribute his radio and theater experience to Cape Fear Radio.

Holly Oehler (aka Holly Moon) retired to the Southport area after a career starting in marketing in New York and ending in real estate in New Jersey.  Her love of country music began more than 40 years ago when a roommate from college introduced her to country. Holly will be playing a variety of country favorites, both old and new. Music — and particularly country music lyrics — tell a story, says Holly. From the song “State of Mind”, written and sung by Clint Black: “Ain’t it funny how a melody can bring back a memory/Take you to another place in time/Completely change your state of mind?” Holly will change your state of mind each Monday from 9-11 p.m. on Cape Fear Country. She promises to try and ease your mind and put a smile on your face. You’ll be in Holly’s country.
