We offer the best music from the 60s through contemporary sounds, local news, weather, arts and culture, and local events — all the things that make the lower Cape Fear special. We are entirely volunteer-driven and reinvest our revenue (over and above operating costs) into nonprofit organizations supporting our community. We are truly radio of the people, by the people and for the people.

CFR is proud to announce our latest Community Investment Initiative donation - reinforcing our commitment to giving back to our local community. This gift of $5,000 was presented to the Brunswick County Literacy Council at the Southport Springfest on April 18, 2026.
