John McIver is a director and co-founder of Cape Fear Radio, where he wears multiple hats and is the chief cat- herder in residence. John was born and raised in North Carolina, wandered with no particular direction before being rescued by the prospects of a life together with the woman who would become his wife, and a late commitment to education. He spent more than 30 years in the Midwest raising a family and building a career before returning to his home state. John is passionate about many things, including family, friends, community, music, golf, and a culture of learning. He talks a lot, is occasionally funny, and walks way too slow.
